Police are searching for two remaining offenders after a surf and skate store was allegedly broken into. Read the latest.

Police have arrested a juvenile after two alleged break and enters at a skate and surf shop.

Authorities were called to Velocity 21 on Flinders St in the early hours of the morning after reports three people allegedly smashed the glass at the rear door of the store at 11:40pm on Tuesday.

The group allegedly left the store, before returning at 12:09am.

A Queensland Police spokeswoman said the offenders allegedly fled when police arrived and one young boy was arrested at the scene and remains in police custody.

Investigations are continuing to locate the remaining two offenders.

Velocity 21 director Matthew Brassington said he was “deeply frustrated and saddened” by the alleged break-ins.

“This kind of criminal behaviour not only damages our business but also impacts the safety and sense of security within our community,” he said.

“As a small business, these incidents are incredibly disheartening, but we remain committed to serving our customers and the community. We thank everyone for their support during this challenging time and ask for vigilance to help prevent further acts like this.”
