Daniel Andrews has gained an unexpected endorsement from Tiger King’s Carole Baskin.
The star of the Netflix documentary recorded a video urging the Premier to “take a well deserved break and get on the beers”.
The video appears in a remixed dance track by Australian DJs Mashd N Kutcher.
In a collaboration that could only have been conceived in 2020, the song features Ms Baskin alongside grabs of Mr Andrews’ press conference at Werribee Zoo.
Ms Baskin is the founder of Big Cat Rescue, an American animal sanctuary for exotic cats.
She starts her video message to Mr Andrews by saying: “I know you’ve been spending a lot of time working down at the zoo” before encouraging him to take a break and get on the beers.
“Oh my goodness that is your civic duty, that’s what’s most important and that’s what must be done,” she says in the video.
The inclusion of Ms Baskin is the latest variation of Mashd N Kutcher’s Get on the Beers (feat. Dan Andrews) song that has been shared widely on social media and featured on the Australian iTunes charts.
Ms Baskin has been using the Cameo website to charge people $411 ($299 USD) for personalised video messages.
She gained controversy for a Cameo video in July where she was tricked into giving a shoutout to Rolf Harris and Jimmy Savile.
She later said she had never heard of either men and insisted she would not have recorded the video if she was aware of their crimes.
