Former Home and Away star turned popular Hobart breakfast radio host Christie Hayes is finally expecting her “miracle” baby after years of heartbreak.

Hayes said her little family was already so in love with the “most prayed for, wanted, adored baby”.

“And after the rain, came the rainbow,” she shared on social media, along with a series of beautiful maternity photos with her husband Justin and sons.

“We are over the moon to announce the news that we are expecting!”

She said after losing a baby, two back-to-back chemical pregnancies and years of IVF, their miracle was finally on the way.

“And now, somehow, it makes sense. The final piece of our puzzle.”

On the Hit Network’s Dan & Christie, she said it had been four years in the making.

“I am pregnant. We are ecstatic, we are safe, and we’re in the second trimester already,” she said live on air.

“I just want you to know that if you are going through IVF — I have been where you are. I know how hard it is. I just want you to know that it can happen. When you least expect it, your life can change.”

She also shared encouragement to her “fellow IVF warriors” on Instagram.

“I see you. I am you,” she said.

“If you’re still waiting, still aching, still hoping — please don’t give up.

“Your miracle might just be around the corner, your story is still unfolding and we never know what the next chapter holds.”

Ms Hayes has previously discussed her heartbreaking IVF journey, last year saying the worst thing with the procedure was the waiting and waiting, “and then the grief no one tells you about”.

She shared a photo alongside her husband, Justine Coombes-Pearce and her two sons.

Mr Coombes-Pearce also shared on social media his joy after the “four long years of trying, hoping, hurting and healing”.

“The road here has been anything but easy,” his post said.

“We’ve walked through more heartbreak than we ever imagined — endless appointments, IVF rounds that didn’t work, moments we felt completely broken, and nights where we clung to each other and tried to stay strong when it all felt helpless.

“But through it all, we never stopped believing in this dream … and now, against all odds, that dream is finally coming true.”
