Firefighters are continuing to tackle a house fire in Glenorchy into Friday afternoon, with the cause of the blaze under investigation by police.
Tasmania Fire Service arrived at the unit on Barossa Rd before 11.30am and remain on scene as they continue to extinguish the structure fire.
A section of Barossa Rd remains closed while firefighters respond.
A Tasmania Police spokeswoman said one person is assisting police with their inquiries, while another person is receiving medical treatment at the scene for smoke inhalation.
“When the fire is extinguished Tasmania Fire Service and Tasmania Police will investigate the cause,” a Tasmania Police spokeswoman said.
