Devonport man’s lotto win predicted in decade’s old palm reading

How a palm reading from decades ago turned true for a Tasmanian man celebrating his lotto win.

The predictions of a palm reader has struck true for the third time for a Devonport man after his $620,000 TattsLotto win.

The Tasmanian shared the quirky prediction after discovering he held one of the 10 division one winning entries in Saturday’s draw.

“I’ll tell you a little story. I did a lot of travelling when I was younger and one time a young chap asked if he could read my fortune,” he said.

“He looked at my palm carefully and he told me four things. I’d get married very soon, how many children I’d have, that I’d come into a lot of money in old age, and lastly, how old I’d be when I passed.

“Sure enough, the first two came true, and now this! Wow!”

The windfall still caught the Coaster by surprise when an official from The Lott called with the news.

“Oh, my goodness!” he cheered.

“This is the phone call I’ve been waiting for.

“Thank you so much. This is incredible.”

He said the money will be used to treat his kids, boost his retirement funds and possibly even a “spontaneous holiday”.

The 11-game winning entry was purchased at Centre Newsagency & Lotto in Devonport.

He was the only Tasmanian division one winner of that draw.
