‘Tis the season to attend Open Days and collect show bags. Here’s a round up of the unis and TAFEs opening their doors.

OPEN DAY CHECKLIST
— Visit the information tents and collect a show bag full of information about the universities and TAFEs you’re visiting — everyone loves a freebie
— Attend information sessions on the courses you’re interested in (usually listed in the Open Day schedule)
— Talk to staff and students about the courses you are interested in. It helps to come prepared with a list of questions to ask.
— Talk to the admissions and scholarships staff about how to apply, fees, and available scholarships. Ask about entry pathways, too.
— Visit any displays or demonstrations that interest you or are related to your course of interest
— Make sure you take a campus tour and pay particular attention to the speciality facilities you may need for your course, like science or computer labs.
— Let your parent or guardian know about any Parents’ Information Sessions
— Tour the accommodation facilities, or talk to student accommodation staff about various accommodation options
— Talk to current students at the Clubs and Societies tents
