The school where students were filmed in brutal brawls has created a “designated safe space” for pupils as another violent video emerges.
Extra staff have been put on yard duty at Gisborne Secondary College and a classroom has been assigned as a monitored safe space after three videos revealed separate altercations in school grounds.

In the latest short video, a boy can be seen punching, then pushing another pupil to a wall as about a dozen others watch on.
As a student starts filming the incident, another boy moves in to separate the pair.
Earlier this week, when two videos emerged showing boys fighting at the regional high school, principal Jon Morley released a note to families.
He labelled the fights as “two unrelated and rare incidents from last week (that) have been used to portray us in a totally unfair manner”.
He also wrote that the published material had cast the school “in a very negative light”.
“It is very distressing to see us portrayed in this way, a way that in no way reflects the daily reality of life in our school,” he wrote.
One student said they were disappointed with the school’s response.
“They’re acting like it’s the only time there’s been an incident at the school, these events are not rare and they are happening not only in the yard, but also in the classroom too,” the student claimed.
A Department of Education spokesman said it was “aware of a new video involving a student altercation”.
“The school has taken appropriate disciplinary measures (which can include suspension) in relation to the students involved and have made it clear to all students that this behaviour is entirely unacceptable,” he said.
“Wellbeing supports have been offered for staff and students affected. There is no place for violent, aggressive or bullying behaviour in our schools.”
Along with the newly created designated safe space for students and the extra staff patrolling at recess, the principal has also recently addressed pupils over respectful behaviour at assembly.
