Future Logan: Villa World’s active vision for Covella in Greenbank

Get active right in your own neighbourhood — that is the vision a national developer is hoping to bring to Logan.

Villa World are set to unveil its second Active8 community in Queensland at the 150 hectare Covella development in Greenbank.

The Active8 concept promotes accessibility to an active and healthy lifestyle.

As part of the Covella design, each of its four neighbourhoods will have access to morning workout at the fitness stations, shooting hoops with the family or cycling and jogging along the many parks.

Villa World development director for Queensland, Peter Johnson, said the 1502-lot project would offer residents an array of facilities as part of the Active8 concept.

“Active8 communities are places future planned for wellbeing, somewhere you can enjoy the natural environment and facilities for years to come,” Mr Johnson said.

“Community parks and playing fields will provide plenty of space to run around, and are great for socialising. There are also boardwalks which link to the nearby bushland.

“The parks will include playground equipment, picnic shelters and plenty of other features.

“An extension of the Lavelle Lagoon Sporting Grounds is also a significant part of the master plan.”

One third of Covella will remain untouched bushland.

Covella will feature vegetated bushland corridors that incorporate a diverse range of fitness and relaxation options.

As Villa World’s flagship Queensland project, Covella will be developed in 27 stages over the next five to seven years and will eventually be home to 4000 people.
