The site for a school has been earmarked near a masterplanned community in Logan.
Covella in Greenbank will be the adjacent setting for a brand new school as the greenfield site is developed in 27 stages over the next seven years.
The proposed Catholic Education Primary School will be located at the entry to Covella, a community that will eventually be home to 4000 people, but the finer details are yet to be released.
So far, it seems there will be plenty of future students to enrol.
The developer, Villa World, has seen 90 sales since Covella’s launch late last year with the bushland-fringed community attracting local purchasers seeking an alternative to acreage.
Covella has recently fast-tracked the release of stage two which followed the near sellout of the projects first stage comprising 72 lots.
CEO and managing director of Villa World Craig Treasure said buyers have been attracted by the affordability of its residential sized land and its proximity to Greater Springfield, Brisbane’s CBD and local schools.
“Covella delivers a housing destination which meets the lifestyle aspirations of the region’s rapidly growing population,” Mr Treasure said.
“We expect sales at Covella to only increase as we meet the steady and long-term demand for housing.”
As well as providing education space, each of Covella’s four neighbourhoods will have its own parks connected by walking and running tracks.
Covella follows the launch Villa World’s 300-lot Chambers Ridge project in neighbouring Park Ridge and the company’s 726-lot Killara community at Logan Reserve.
