Arnold Schwarzenegger lends muscle to Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday appeal

Arnold Schwarzenegger is lending his muscle power to sick kids this weekend and supporting the Good Friday Appeal.
The megastar, who is in town to promote his Arnold Sports Festival, praised the work of the appeal in supporting communities.
“We are very much into supporting the local community with our events here,” he said.

“The children need our help and it’s very important that we all give them that help.”
Mr Schwarzenegger was mobbed by fans and fitness fanatics as he entered the building — all waiting to hear those famous three words.
And he didn’t disappoint.
“It’s wonderful to be back here Melbourne — and before I leave let me say: I’ll be back,” he said.
Chairman of the Herald and Weekly Times and the Good Friday Appeal Penny Fowler, thanked Mr Schwarzenegger for his generous support, presenting him with a certificate of appreciation.
“It’s such an important appeal — and for him to come here and support our local appeal, it’s just great,” she said.
“It’s fantastic. We just really appreciate it.”
The sports festival, held at the Melbourne Convention Centre, showcases a range of sports, including bodybuilding, boxing and yoga.
The Good Friday Appeal is the official charity partner for the Arnold Sports Festival for the second year running.
Donations received throughout the three-day event will help support sick children at the Royal Children’s Hospital.
