The rider, a 30-year-old man, was reported to have sustained serious, but non-life threatening, chest injuries. He was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital.

It happened just hours after a young motorcyclist died after a crash on the same motorway. Police were alerted to the collision on the Wingfield interchange at Dry Creek, on the ramp to the North-South Motorway at about 4.30pm Thursday.

A 19-year-old man from Munno Para died at the scene.

Major Crash investigators examined the scene, forcing road closures for several hours.

He is the 65th person to die on our state’s roads this year.
