Young professionals, small families and downsizers will be catered for in the $3bn Riverlea estate with new inner city terrace style homes coming on the market.

In an effort to cater for Adelaide’s changing housing needs, Walker Corporation will deliver The Palms Collective – low maintenance, three-bedroom townhouses from $550,000. This will be among the cheapest price for housing in the estate.

“Adelaide’s housing market is constantly evolving and it is important to adapt to meet the needs of both young professionals, small families and downsizers who all want to live at Riverlea,” Walker managing director David Gallant said.

The estate, 35km north of Adelaide, is the state’s biggest masterplanned community and will house more than 40,000 people when 12,000 homes are built over the next 20 years.

The estate will also include The Palms Shopping Village – an $80m precinct to include a childcare centre, medical and pathology services, supermarket and cafes.

Walker Corporation has partnered with 13 South Australian builders to create the estate’s house and land packages, ranging in lot sizes from 300sq m to 1000sq m.

Rivergum Homes is responsible for delivering The Palms Collective, with homes each having two bathrooms, timber floating floors, kitchen appliances and landscaping.

“While our freestanding homes have been popular at Riverlea, we are exited to offer our low maintenance, turnkey terrace homes that provide impeccable value for all our customers in one ready-to-move in package,” Rivergum projects general manager Tony Scott said.

Riverlea is connected with public transport links and is 25 minutes from the city via the Northern connector.
