A new specialist medical centre is expected to commence construction shortly in Adelaide’s western suburbs to meet local healthcare demands – although the build’s exact medical purpose is still to be determined.
The 4087 sqm centre development – called the Woodville Specialist Centre – will be built opposite the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
On its ground floor, it will include consulting rooms and retail spaces, while the other four levels are designed to have purpose-built medical facilities suited for a wide range of uses like a hospital, day surgery, radiology, or pathology.
There will also be two basement level car parks fitted to accommodate 140 vehicles.
It’s expected the project will be completed in 2026.
Meanwhile, CBRE Australia’s Sandro Peluso, and Kai Wang are managing the leasing of the building via an expression of interests campaign.
Mr Peluso said the fit-out of the medical levels would support the western suburb’s healthcare needs and reduce existing pressures.
“This new multistorey specialist medical centre is part of an important plan to improve
healthcare and meet the significant demand for these services in Adelaide’s western
suburbs,” he said.
Meanwhile, Mr Wang said due to the centre’s ideal location beside the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, the build would be perfect for specialist tenants already associated with the hospital.
“With limited new developments in the precinct, we are expecting significant interest from potential tenants looking to secure a place in this prime location,” he said.
