A 21-year-old man is in critical condition after a car and a motorcycle collided at Aldinga on Tuesday.
Emergency services were called to Main South Road and Malpas Road just after 4.30pm.
The motorcyclist, who is from Aldinga Beach, was airlifted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital a short time later.
The driver of the car, a 26-year-old Clovelly Park woman, was not injured and is assisting police as they investigate the incident.
The Advertiser understands the car, a Honda, was turning right from Malpas Road onto Main South Road while the motorcyclist was heading southbound on Main South Road.
Police advise motorists to avoid Main South Road for southbound travellers from the Thomas Road and Branson Road intersection, and roads are expected to be closed for some time as major crash investigators attend the scene.
