Police hunting for knife-wielding thief after inner west service station robbery

A man armed with a knife robbed an inner western service station this morning before fleeing and police are appealing for information.

A man armed with a knife robbed an inner western service station on Wednesday before fleeing.

Police are now calling on the public to assist with information.

Just after 2.30am on Wednesday, September 25 a man entered a service station on Port Rd, West Croydon armed with a knife before jumping the counter and demanding cash from the console operator.

The man stole a small quantity of cash and was last seen running towards Rosetta St.

Patrols searched the area however the suspect could not be located.

The suspect is described as male as 175cm tall, wearing a black hoodie, with a grey sweater over the top, black pants and white shoes and a balaclava over his face.

Police searched the area but the man was not found

Police are appealing for anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
