A motorbike rider is expected to hit with a string of charges after crashing into a car while allegedly trying to speed away from police.
Motorcycle patrols spotted the green Kawasaki not bearing any number plates around 2.40pm this afternoon.
But when they tried to pull the 28-year-old Paralowie man over, he immediately sped off.
Police said the rider then travelled through a red traffic light at the intersection of Glover Ave and West Terrace, where he collided with a Holden sedan.
He was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, and mandatory drug and alcohol testing.
The driver of the sedan was not injured, but his vehicle had visible damage to the front bonnet.
Multiple police motorbikes were on-site, along with MFS crews and an ambulance.
North bound lanes on West Tce between Currie St and Phillip St were closed, but have since reopened.
Officers were seen collecting evidence from the scene, including photographing several items of drug paraphernalia.
Investigations are continuing.
