Nikita Semmens pleads guilty to false imprisonment and theft after luring victim to house with Aaron McCarthy waiting
Shocking text messages between a female thug – who lured a Tinder lover to a house and held him hostage – and her accomplice have been revealed to the court.
Messages between a female thug and her accomplice have been revealed to the court after her Tinder lover was lured to a house where he was held hostage and assaulted.
Nikita Anne-Marie Semmens, 33, left her victim terrified after he arrived at the house where another man, Aaron Gregory McCarthy was waiting.
During McCarthy’s trial in September, the District Court heard the victim first met Semmens at school before matching with her on Tinder years later in 2022.
They dated for a few months before breaking up.
The court heard Semmens then messaged the victim in early 2023 and suggested taking him out to dinner.
He went to her house in Salisbury Plain on March 29, 2023 where McCarthy was waiting and told him he couldn’t leave unless he paid a fee.
The court heard the victim handed over $200, before Semmens also asked for the victim’s phone, which he handed to McCarthy.
The victim was made to skull some premixed drinks or that he’ll be hurt.
“He (McCarthy) makes him drink a half a bottle of Listerine,” Dr Salu said.
The court heard the trio then went upstairs to the bathroom where Semmens allegedly said: “I’ll show you when I like someone” before performing oral sex on McCarthy in front of the victim.
The trio then went downstairs and the victim was eventually able to leave.
A jury found McCarthy guilty of theft but acquitted him of false imprisonment and robbery.
Earlier this month, Judge Joana Fuller convicted him with no further penalty, due to the time he had spent in custody.
Semmens, of Adelaide, pleaded guilty to false imprisonment, theft and assault.
Last week during Semmens’ sentencing submissions, Dr Salu read out some of the text messages exchanged between her and McCarthy before the offending.
“She texts: “Oi when you get here, full intimidate … I can’t stand c***s like that,” Dr Salu said.
The court heard other messages between the duo said: “He’s piss weak, s*** scared of what he calls dodgy people” and “just full flirt with me and shit ha ha ha and the turn on him”.
Dr Salu said the “terrified” victim gave evidence that he attended the premises with drugs, which was stolen by McCarthy and consumed by the duo.
The court heard police attended at Semmens’ hotel premises after the incident where they found a stuffed toy filled with drugs and many drug trafficking texts on her phone.
Semmens, who is currently serving a jail sentence for the drug trafficking, will face court again next week for further sentencing submissions.
