A woman is facing attempted murder charges following a violent altercation at Morphett Vale that resulted in two people sustaining stab wounds.
A 21-year-old woman from Christie Downs was arrested and charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass and attempted murder. She was refused police bail and will appear in Christies Beach Magistrates Court on Monday 31 March.
Emergency services rushed to Columba St, Morphett Vale, about 12.45am on Saturday after being alerted to the incident.
Police found the 27-year-old occupant of the house suffering stab wounds.
He was rushed to hospital, where the injuries were deemed non-life-threatening.
While police were at Morphett Vale, a Port Noarlunga man, 22, also arrived at Flinders Medical Centre with serious stab wounds suspected of having been received during the same attack.
Next-door neighbours Didier Lori and Maye Morno said they stayed awake throughout the night to make sure their home and children were safe.
Mr Lori said he heard screams, followed by people shouting, “Oh my God, call the police” or “We need an ambulance right now”.
Mr Lori said he saw a woman and her young boy escaping the house before jumping into a car just before police arrived.
“That was the only thing we saw,” he said.
“They took the little kid to the car and they took off before police came in.”
