Driver tests positive for drugs following car rollover on Greenhill Rd in Adelaide’s east

A North Haven man who rolled his car onto its roof has been stripped of his licence after a positive drug test.
Emergency services were called to the crash on Greenhill Rd at around 7.30am.
The 24-year-old driver was not injured in the incident but a police spokesperson said he tested positive for drugs.
“He was issued with an instant loss of licence notice and the sample was sent for forensic testing,” the spokesperson said.
“His vehicle was towed from the scene.
“Investigations are continuing”.
Meanwhile, a teenage driver is set to be fined after losing control of a Holden Calais sedan that ploughed into a tree and caught fire in Adelaide’s north.
Patrols were called to Wilcox Rd at Elizabeth just after 11.30am following reports a car crashed into a tree situated in the front yard of a home.
The car then caught alight.
Two teenagers initially fled the scene, according to witnesses, before patrols found them on Short Rd.
The 18-year-old boys returned to the scene and then were taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Fire crews extinguished the blaze and the car was later towed from the scene.
Police said the driver is expected to receive a fine for breaching his learner’s permit and other traffic offences.
