A SAPOL employee has been summonsed to court after detectives reported him for a corruption-related offence.
The 33-year-old southwestern suburbs man is charged with one count of abuse of public office, but SA Police said the matter bears no relation to the arrest of a female officer on Thursday over an identical offence.
The man, who is not a sworn officer, will appear in the Adelaide Magistrate’s Court on an unspecified date and the circumstances of his alleged offending are still unknown.
It comes only a day after the 29-year-old woman’s arrest, following what police described as “a lengthy investigation”.
She was bailed to appear in Port Adelaide Magistrates Court in February.
