Police search for good Samaritan after teen assaulted on Stebonheath Rd, Munno Para West

A group of thugs drove their ute at a young teen on his scooter before robbing and assaulting him – and now police are appealing for the witness who stopped to help to come forward.

A teen has been assaulted and robbed after a group of thugs drove their ute at him before jumping out and assaulting him as he rode a scooter in Adelaide’s north.

Police are now appealing for witnesses and are urging a woman in a black Jeep who stopped to render assistance to call police.

Police were called to Stebonheath Rd at Munno Para West about 2.30pm on Sunday, June 9, after reports the teen had been riding when a white ute had driven at him.

Three people got out of the ute and assaulted the victim before stealing his vest, beanie and necklace.

The victim, a 16-year-old northern suburbs boy, was not seriously injured.

Man charged over spate of Barossa Valley break-ins

A man has been arrested and charged over a spate of break-ins at homes and businesses across the Barossa Valley.

The 35-year-old Tanunda man was caught after he allegedly broke into a home in Tanunda on June 4, while the occupants were home.

He then allegedly fled the scene in the occupants’ car and dumped it at a carpark on Burings Rd, Tanunda.

The man was arrested and charged with serious criminal trespass, theft, illegal use of a motor vehicle and property damage.

However, police allege an amount of stolen property was found inside the car that belonged to other victims.

Barossa Police began an investigation into the seized property and rearrested the same man on Saturday.

Detectives allegedly linked the man to a number of other break-ins and thefts involving businesses and homes in Tanunda.

Police will allege the man broke into a business premises in Tanunda and stole items including cash, jewellery, perfume and sunglasses.

He is also alleged to have broken into a Tanunda home and stole alcohol and jewellery.

The man was additionally charged with serious criminal trespass (residential), non-residential serious criminal trespass, three counts of theft and being unlawfully on premises.

He was bailed to appear in the Tanunda Magistrates Court in July.
