Three alleged drug dealers linked to a northern suburbs meth ring are set for trial after officially entering not guilty pleas in court.

On Wednesday, Bradley Horlor, 29, Scott Michael Kristian Smith, 39, and Emily Michaela Jade Lane-Watson, 30, appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court.

Counsel for each of the accused told Magistrate Brian Nitschke their client was pleading not guilty – but each conceded there was a case to answer at trial.

Bradley Horlor has pleaded not guilty to more than 11 counts of drug trafficking offences.

Mr Horlor, of Munno Para, has pleaded not guilty through counsel to 11 counts of trafficking a controlled drug, one count of trafficking a commercial quantity of a controlled drug and one count of trafficking a large commercial quantity of a controlled drug.

Mr Smith, of Munno Para West, pleaded not guilty on the last occasion to two counts of trafficking a large commercial quantity of a controlled drug and one count of trafficking a commercial quantity of a controlled drug.

Ms Lane-Watson pleaded not guilty through counsel to three counts of trafficking in a controlled drug.

Detectives allegedly watched Mr Smith attending the Munno Para home of Grant McDougall – who is not accused of any wrongdoing – to collect a backpack.

Scott Smith has pleaded not guilty to multiple drug trafficking offences.

Later Mr Smith allegedly took part, with Mr Horlor, in the sale of 1kg of methamphetamine for $105,000, the court previously heard.

The court also heard Mr Smith and Mr Horlor were allegedly in negotiations with “persons known to police” in discussing the sale of 250kg of meth.

The group were arrested in May after an investigation from October last year.

Counsel for Mr Horlor also sought to make an application to vary his client’s bail, but Mr Nitschke adjourned the argument after hearing prosecutors still needed time to prepare.

The trio will appear in the District Court to begin the trial process in May this year and were remanded on continuing bail.
