The Adelaide Crows’ guernsey will have a fresh look for the 2025 season with the announcement of a new brand partnership.
The football club has inked a four-year deal with the new Adelaide University to be a premier partner of the AFL and AFLW teams with their logo featuring on the back of all playing guernseys.
Crows chief executive Tim Silvers said the partnership formed “a commitment to pursuing excellence on a national stage”.
“We are two South Australian organisations that are passionate about our state,” Mr Silvers said.
AFL and AFLW players Max Michalanney and Chelsea Randall showed off the new guernsey at a launch event on Thursday.
Michalanney is currently studying a construction management degree which he will finish at Adelaide University.
It will be the first new guernsey to have the redesigned Crows logo, which was unveiled in November.
Adelaide University, an amalgamation of the University of Adelaide and the University of South Australia, will officially open in 2026.
The Crows first partnered with UniSA in 2017.
Adelaide University co-vice chancellors Professors David Lloyd and Peter Hoj said the partnership would “showcase the incredible talent in our state and harness the power of sport in our community”.
“It’s notoriously about the 36 players but I also see it as about the 50,000 in the stands and inspiring them to be the best they can be,” Prof Hoj said.
Prof Lloyd said the partnership will help “to on-board international students so they’ll be exposed to Aussie culture from day one”.
The announcement comes as the Crows hope to move from their current base at West Lakes to the new Thebarton Oval complex in 2026.
