A woman has been taken to hospital after suffering a dog bite in Adelaide’s north.

A 53-year-old woman has been rushed to hospital after she was bitten by a dog on Saturday in Adelaide’s north.

Emergency services were called to Pennington just before 2pm.

The woman suffered injuries to her leg, arm and hand and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.

An SA Ambulance spokesperson said the injuries were non-life threatening.

In May, a four-year-old boy was been taken to hospital after being bitten by a dog near Pennington Primary School.
