A celeb “skin whisperer” — who pampered A-listers including Margot Robbbie, Nicole Kidman and Charlize Theron — has shocked Sydney’s elite social circles by suddenly shutting her exclusive Woollahra salon after 20 years.

Celebrity facialist Jocelyn Petroni has surprised Sydney’s social set by closing her business after two decades in the game.

Petroni has long been referred to as the “skin whisperer”, and regarded as the top of the top, thanks to her huge clientele of A-listers including everyone from Margot Robbie to Miranda Kerr, Gemma Ward. Dua Lipa, Rita Ora, Nicole Kidman and Charlize Theron.

She works regularly with Vogue Australia and has provided facials and manicures for most cover stars to have graced the magazine.

Her premium Queen St, Woollahra salon is also the go-to beauty clinic for the top end of town.

“To each and every one of you; thank you for trusting me with your skin, for your energy and for the kindness, connection and unwavering support you have shown me over the years,” Petroni said in a heartfelt Facebook post.

”You have been an integral part in making my business a success, and for making my heart so full.

“I am so grateful to you all and it has been a joy and privilege to spend time with you.”

Just a few days ago, Vogue Australia announced Petroni as an ambassador for luxe skincare brand La Mer.

The business will close its doors on August 16.

Other celebrity clients to the business over the years have included Delta Goodrem, Kendall Jenner, Elle Macpherson, lady Gaga, Katie Holmes, Keith Urban, Isla Fisher and Rose Byrne.

“The next chapter for me is one of growth; one where I can evolve the healing experience I have been gifted with, share my knowledge and inspire many more people,” she wrote.

“I will be taking on advisory roles with international brands to help them navigate the beauty landscape as well as continuing my brand ambassadorships.”

One follower commented on the post: “Congratulations to a truly inspiring and deserving leader in our industry. So happy to have had the opportunity to have had a facial with you and all the best with your amazing new ventures.”
