The father of the young woman who died in a head-on crash seconds after she was filmed on Snapchat playing chicken with oncoming traffic has criticised the two friends who were in the car with her for profiting from her death.

The Sunday Telegraph can also reveal drugs and alcohol were in Shania McNeill’s system when her Suzuki Baleno slammed into musicians Dennis Sales and Ken Morrow as they drove back from a gig in their Nissan Micra.

The Instagram videos by Faeda Hunter and Hazel Wildman showed 21-year-old Ms McNeill playing chicken and swerving on the wrong side of the road before the footage suddenly cut out.

Ms Hunter, 20, and Ms Wildman, 23, who were injured in the crash in the early hours of April 28 on Richmond Rd at Berkshire Park in Sydney’s northwest, have a cut a paid deal with a television network.

“It’s nice to know the girls are profiting of my daughter’s death,” Lee McNeill said at his Gold Coast home.

“I have a box of ashes sitting in our garage, sitting on palettes of her belongings.

“I was approached by two networks but I didn’t sign anything. It makes me sick to involve money.”

The Sunday Telegraph understands Ms McNeill, who leaves behind four siblings and her parents, was about two times over the legal blood alcohol limit at the time of the high speed crash.

It is believed she had traces of MDMA and cannabis in her system.

Mr McNeill revealed he had been in contact with Mr Morrow and Mr Sales.

Mr Sales (pictured right) was in a coma for days with serious internal injuries and is still in and out of hospital.

Mr Morrow suffered a shattered wrist which will impact his ability to play keyboard.

“I feel for those guys I really do, Mr McNeill said.

“Yeah they are on the road to recovery I think but I feel sorry for them — having to replay those last few seconds over and over.

“Psychologically it would be very damaging.”

Mr McNeill also questioned what happened in the minutes before the head-on.

Mr McNeill said he and his family have been attacked online by trolls blaming them for the fatal accident.

“You know I’ve been over it a million times what could we have done to change this,” he said. “She was due to move back from Sydney in a couple of weeks.”

He said his family had moved to the Gold Coast when his daughter was 15 but she had missed her school friends and moved back when she was 18.

On the night of the crash, Ms McNeill, Ms Hunter and Ms Wildman went to Cram Bar in Richmond, a regular Saturday night haunt for them.

Licensee Craig Thomsen said police had taken a copy of the club’s CCTV which showed Ms McNeill entered about 10:50pm and left at 12:30am after having only three drinks and spending most of the time on the dancefloor.

A Liquor and Gaming NSW spokesman said Cram Bar was not being investigated for any licensing breaches.

Ms McNeill’s car was caught on CCTV at a nearby service station minutes after the trio left the club.

At 1:15am, 15 minutes after they’d left the club, Ms McNeill was dead.
