An all-women band from the Top End land have launched a music video for their latest single and they’ve got the community to help them out with it.

The Ripple Effect Band, from Maningrida in West Arnhem, have released a music video for their single ‘Loving and Caring’.

For producer and band member Tara Rostron, the single is about inspiring people to stay positive.

“I wanted to give some people ideas and make them change a bit, inspiring them to stop thinking about the past,” she said.

Speaking about the video, lead guitarist from the band Jodie Kell said the video was filmed when the band was touring.

“We decided that filming as we toured also expresses our story and how standing up and expressing ourselves through music has taken us across Australia,” she said.

Also in the video is the Maningrida dance group, in a video which Ms Kell hoped would get “people to talk about their feelings and share when they are feeling down.”

“Talk with your partner and remember, the rain will come to wash away your stress and pain, the thunder like our heartbeat,” she said.

The Ripple Effect Band will be touring the Territory in July and August.

They will play in Maningrida on July 25 and at Humpty Doo’s Daminmin Festival on July 27.

In August, they will headline in Darwin’s Bustard Town on August 1, before making their way down to play Tennant Creek’s Harmony Festival on August 4 and 5.
