Junior paraders from across the region descended onto Mackay showgrounds for a range of aged competitions.

Eighteen students from around the Mackay region were involved in the parading competition, with a number of different levels judged.

The number of competitors was solid after the Mackay Show's cancellation in 2020, but some paraders from Mackay had already made the trip to Proserpine for the Whitsundays Show on Friday.

Sarina State High School was well represented by a number of students competing, while Mackay Christian College also had some paraders.
