Queensland Police investigating after motorcyclist crashes into rear end of car at Chinchilla

A motorcyclist has crashed into the back of a car and suffered significant leg injuries, leading police to appeal for dashcam footage.

A young man has suffered significant leg injuries after he crashed into the rear end of a car at Chinchilla.

According to the initial police report, the 2021 YZF-R3 Yamaha motorcycle and grey 2010 Ford Festiva were travelling east along the Warrego Highway between Carmichael St and Dawson Gates Rd when the motorcycle crashed into the rear of the car, about 8.15pm on Wednesday.

The rider, a 23-year-old Chinchilla man, suffered significant leg injuries and was flown to Toowoomba Hospital in a critical condition.

The driver of the car, a 40-year-old Chinchilla man, suffered back injuries and was also flown to Toowoomba Hospital for treatment.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash or may have dashcam to assist the investigation to come forward.
