Frances Lea Rooke remembered as a kind and generous woman

There has been an outpouring of grief after the search for a missing woman has reached a tragic end, with her body being found at an isolated crash site.

Frances Lea Rooke has been remembered as a kind and generous woman.

The 45-year-old woman tragically died after she crashed her motorbike while riding from Moree to Gayndah on Friday.

The crash initally went unnoticed, leading to police filing a missing persons report and after a search they located Ms Rooke on Sunday.

“Love you mum,” Blaire Rooke posted on social media.

“I will always do what you taught me and just know when I ride the way I ride I’m riding ro catch you.

“Now you can say you can keep up with me when I ride now.”

“To everyone thank you so much for the support and for all the love, we all lost someone this weekend: a mother, a grandmother, a sister, an auntie, a daughter, a friend and a wife.

“We all love you mum and just know that we will never forget u. Enjoy being able to ride for as long as you want and not having to stop and pay for fuel.”

Ms Rooke’s body was located about 20km south of Moonie on the Leichhardt Highway.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said the Forensic Crash Unit would investigate the matter.

Police thanked members of the public who helped with the search, and urged anyone with information, including dashcam footage of the woman on a Black Yamaha motorcycle, is urged to come forward.
