Man to face court after Booie firearm incident

A man faces a “dangerous conduct” charge after a bizarre callout which led to police swarming a property and setting up road spikes for several hours.

A Kingaroy man will face court after police responded to reports of gunshots allegedly fired at a Booie property.

Police were called to an address on Shellbachs Road between Curtis Road and Haydens Road about 1.30pm on February 6.

Multiple crews could be seen surrounding the property and road spikes were set up.

Following investigations, specialist police along with officers from the Kingaroy Criminal Investigation Branch arrested the man at a Nanango address on Tuesday, February 11.

The man has been charged with one count each of dangerous conduct with weapon and unlawful possession of weapon category A, B or M.

He was remanded in police custody and is due to appear in the Kingaroy Magistrates Court on February 12.
