Emergency services respond to fatal mower incident in Black Mountain
A man has died after becoming trapped under a lawnmower at Sunshine Coast property on Saturday. It’s the second tragedy of its kind in Queensland this week.

A man has tragically died following a freak accident at Black Mountain on the Sunshine Coast on Saturday morning.
Emergency crews rushed to the property about 8.40am on Black Mountain Road after reports of a man trapped under a lawnmower.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said paramedics assessed the man with life-threatening injuries but he died at the scene.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said it was understood the mower fell on the man.
“It is believed the man may have been working underneath it at the time,” the spokesman said.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
It’s the second shocking lawnmower accident in Queensland in a week.
On February 9 a man died after a ride-on lawnmower rolled at Dixalea in the Rockhampton region.
