‘Yes my weight fluctuates, and I’m OK with that’: Margaux Parker shares blunt message to body shamers

After copping criticism from trolls who said she had gotten “bigger and bigger” and told her to “put down the food”, Margaux Parker shared a blunt response to any body shamers.

BRISBANE breakfast radio host Margaux Parker has hit out at trolls who criticise her about her weight.

Parker, a co-host on Triple M’s The Big Breakfast and a mother of four children to ex-NRL star Corey Parker, posted a message to her Instagram on Sunday, saying she had recently been the target of online trolls “displeased with how I look”.

“They had noticed I have gotten ‘bigger & bigger’ and that I should ‘put down the food’ you ‘fat mole’’,” Parker said.

“Clearly this is their issue not mine but still why are they so focused on how I look as opposed to how happy I am or how I chose to live my life … free from the skewed ideals of what beauty is.”

“I am a supportive wife and loving mother. A kind friend and a considerate person. My family loves me and I love me so why do people feel so concerned for me and my ‘weight’. Yes it fluctuates and yes I am OK with that.”

Parker continued that she felt society had been “conditioned” to prioritise how someone presents themselves, whereas they should instead focus on their “inner self.

“The real beauty lies within and not how much you flaunt your outer self in public,” she said.
