Former Worrells principal Michael John Beck faces assault charges
A liquidator and bankruptcy trustee on multiple assault charges will face a trial after the next steps were confirmed in court.

A registered liquidator and bankruptcy trustee, well-known in the Central Queensland business community, is expected to face a trial next month on violence charges
Former Worrells Rockhampton and Mackay principal, who recently started his own company, Solace Advisory, Michael John Beck, 43, has been charged with one count of assault occasioning bodily harm and four counts of common assault.
According to court documents, all of the alleged offences took place at The Range.
The documents allege the AOBH allegedly took place on October 8, 2023, while two of the common assault charges relate to an incident on July 17, 2023 and the other two on May 20, 2023, and August 14, 2023.
His charges were mentioned on July 2 in Rockhampton Magistrates Court which heard both defence and prosecution were ready for the hearing listed August 11-12.
The case had been listed for a pre-trial mention to ensure it was ready.
No pleas have been entered, and Mr Beck is currently on bail.
