A Logan woman has been charged following an alleged assault in Brisbane City that left another woman with stab wounds to her cheek and neck.

A Logan woman has been charged following an alleged assault in Brisbane City that left another woman with stab wounds to her cheek and neck.

The 20-year-old Marsden woman has been charged with one count of acts intended to maim, two counts of possession of dangerous drug (methylamphetamine and cannabis) and one count of possession of drug utensils (scales).

It will be alleged at 1.30pm on Saturday an altercation occurred on Turbot St between two women who police said were known to each other.

During this altercation it is alleged a 34-year-old woman received stab wounds to the cheek and neck from a pair of scissors.

She was transported to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and was in a stable condition.

The alleged offender fled the scene, however she was located by police a short time later in Ann St.

The 20-year-old was set to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday.

It comes after a 36-year-old man was stabbed at a Bundamba Bunnings on Friday.

Police believe the man was standing next to his car in the carpark about 5.10pm when he was approached by three men and stabbed in the stomach and arm.

Police believe the victim knew his attackers and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
