A woman has been charged with murder after a man was found dead with gunshot wounds at Logan on Friday.

The Slacks Creek man, 41, was found by police with life-threatening injuries at an address in Rowanda St, Slacks Creek, about 1.15am and transported to hospital, but was later declared dead.

Detectives from the Logan Criminal Investigation Branch on Monday charged a 28-year-old Carina Heights woman with one count each of murder, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and arson involving a motor vehicle.

A 42-year-old Eagleby man was also charged with one count each of accessory to murder, arson involving a motor vehicle, driving a motor vehicle without a driver’s licence and using a vehicle with a cancelled number plate.

He was additionally charged with two counts of failure to appear and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

Both were due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

It was the second fatal shooting in the area in less than a week, after a 35-year-old Bahrs Scrub man was shot and found dead at Hugh Muntz Park in Beenleigh last Tuesday night.

Police on Friday said the two incidents were not connected.
