The Brisbane concert of Canadian pop singer Tate McRae has been interrupted by storms, with concertgoers urged to seek shelter.
The Riverstage gig had not yet begun when audience members were told to seek shelter at nearby QUT.
The artist posted to Instagram, saying security would advise when it was safe to return.
Audience members were allowed back into the venue around 8.30pm.
A severe storm warning for South East Queensland was cancelled about 9.30pm, however there were residual power outages, with 9700 properties affected across the southeast, nearly half in Brisbane.
Meanwhile, regional Queensland from northwest to Maranoa and Warrego District has been under high fire danger, with multiple bushfires inland.
The Queensland Fire Department had issued multiple bushfire warnings over the weekend.
Firefighters have been battling flames in Pentland’s White Mountain National Park since late October and issued a warning on Saturday, but a Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said it was within the containment zone and under control.
Thirteen crews were on scene on Sunday, but the fire was expected to burn for several days.
The national park has been closed to the public until January next year.
They were also fighting two separate bushfires in Crossroads and Southwood in Western Downs which have been in flames since earlier this week.
The department deployed a total of 37 crews on Sunday, including aircraft to help the ground crews.
The spokeswoman said the Southwood blaze was under control, and there were no properties close to the Crossroads one, so the two did not pose immediate threat to nearby residents despite warnings being issued.
Another bushfire at Einasleigh was moving towards Forsayth and Georgetown, with a warning issued on Sunday.
Residents were advised to stay informed and avoid smoke by staying indoors and closing windows.
Mr Kennedy said the heatwave warning would hang around for northern Queensland.
Mount Isa was expected to reach 41C, with Longreach and Richmond forecast to peak at 43C.
“The temperature is still likely to get up into the low 40C during the afternoon in the northwest,” Mr Kennedy said.
“That heatwave warning should be cancelled in southern Queensland today and Central Queensland tomorrow.
“The temperature’s back down to the high 20s around Brisbane CBD, but those overnight temperatures will still be pretty warm for the next few days.”
