Two hospitalised at separate traffic incidents within minutes along a Scenic Rim road

Two separate traffic crashes along the same Scenic Rim road occurred Tuesday morning, with six people hurt including a woman who was trapped.

Two separate traffic crashes along the same Scenic Rim road occurred within 20 minutes of each other on Tuesday morning.

Emergency services responded to a truck rollover on Beaudesert Nerang Road, at Wonglepong about 11.23am, before also being called to a two-vehicle crash on the same road at Witheren around 16 minutes later.

Three patients were assessed after the truck rollover at Witheren, with one person transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

Three patients were also assessed following the two-vehicle crash at Wonglepong, including a woman aged in her 30s who was entrapped, a female child, and a man aged in his 40s.

The woman remains in a serious but stable condition with chest and pelvic injuries.

The man and child from the second vehicle suffered minor injuries.

All patients were taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital.
