Two of Australia’s most famous jockeys have been dobbed in for potentially breaking Covid-19 restrictions after the pair were filmed racing cane toads in a busy far north Queensland pub.
Hugh Bowman and James McDonald were seen in footage posted on Friday on social media at a Hemingway’s Brewery in Port Douglas, racing cane toads among other patrons.
The video was filmed on Thursday night, and it is understood it was then posted to Twitter but has since been deleted.

Queensland Police Service said it became aware of the footage after it was given to it by someone who had saved the footage before it was deleted.
Investigations were under way late on Friday.
Bowman famously partnered Winx during her record-breaking career, while McDonald is currently Australia’s top jockey.
Police will examine whether the men had breached stay-at-home orders issued by Queensland Health for anyone who had attended a hotspot since June 21.
Both men rode at an Australian Turf Club race at Canterbury Park, Sydney on Wednesday June 23.
It’s understood the pair were in Brisbane preparing for an upcoming race when they are alleged to have travelled north to Port Douglas.
Both jockeys have been contacted for comment.
