The three-year-old girl who tragically died in a car crash between Bundaberg and Gladstone is being remembered for her beautiful cheeky smile, curly hair and love of dolls as her family struggles to come to terms with their enormous loss.

“It is with a heavy heart that we share the devastating news of the passing of our beautiful Jade,’’ Abbey Marie posted in a fundraiser for the little girl.

“Jade was a beautiful three year old cheeky little girl, she loved playing with her dolls and animals and spending time with her loved ones.’’

Jade Micak, from Elliott Heads, died in an accident at Rosedale on Wednesday, August 21.

“Jade will be sadly missed by her dad Jay and partner Lucil, myself and her other siblings and her extended family,’’ Abbey said.

“While we come to terms with the loss of our beautiful little Jade, we ask people to give us time as a family to process it all and to respect our privacy.’’

A fundraising target of $15,000 has been set to help the family give “Jade the send off she deserves”.

The family said they wanted to thank those who had sent messages, offered prayers for them and been generous with their support.

Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.

A Mitsubishi ASX was travelling along Lowmead Road in the rural town of Rosedale about 7.30pm on Wednesday, Queensland Police said.

Initial investigations by the forensic crash unit indicated the SUV veered off the road and crashed, appearing to come to rest in a water filled gully.

Gladstone Inspector Darren Somerville said the incident was very distressing.

“They actually tried to resuscitate the child however, were unsuccessful and the child died,” Inspector Somerville said.

The 38-year-old woman driver was taken to Bundaberg Hospital with minor injuries.

The eight-month-old passenger was not injured.

A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said the vehicle had come off the road and rolled between a ditch and the Royal Gully.
