Surgery Backlog As Staff Are ‘Burnt Out’ at Queensland’s Largest Public Hospital 28/10/2022

More than a thousand surgery patients are suffering on the waitlist at one of Queensland’s largest public hospitals, with an internal email exposing issues of “stress, burnout and unease about the future” among fatigued and overworked health staff.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has been accused of hypocrisy, bullying and “humiliating” a female MP “in front of the nation”, after a fiery exchange in parliament over the pronunciation of a central Queensland area took a more serious turn.

A Private Moreton Bay school is investigating claims made by a student who says he was “pinned down” and sexually abused by three other boys while on a school camp.

Housing affordability, energy and cost-of-living relief are top priorities for Opposition leader Peter Dutton, who accused Labor of “breaking faith” with Australian families who will be $2000 worse off by Christmas.
