A shocked young mum is celebrating after scoring millions in a division one prize in Saturday’s $30 Million Megadraw. Two other mystery winners are still to come forward.

Australia's biggest lotto winners ever

A young Sydney mother has told of her shock after scoring a division one prize of $2.7 million in Saturday Lotto’s $30 Million Megadraw.

The Parramatta resident confirmed her win with NSW Lotteries this morning after a social media post prompted her to check her ticket.

“Yesterday I saw on Facebook that there were 11 Megadraw winners and seven were unregistered,” the winner, wishes to remain anonymous, said.

“There’s no way I thought one of those unregistered players could be me. But I looked at the winning numbers and then checked my ticket.

“I was incredibly shocked. I couldn’t believe it,”

When asked how she planned to enjoy life as a multi-millionaire, the woman said 2020 would be a game changer.

“We have a young family so this has come at an incredible moment in our life,” she said.

“We will pay off the mortgage and all the bills and then definitely plan plenty more holidays.”

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning entry at Hilltop Newsagency in Merrylands.

Of the 11 division one winners, five were from Queensland, three were from New South Wales, two were from South Australia, and one was from Western Australia.

Gold Coast man wins Lotto twice

People dream of winning the lottery once but a Nerang man has scored a division one prize for the second time.

Confirming his division one win in Saturday Lotto’s $30 Million Megadraw this morning, the Gold Coast player described himself as the luckiest man alive.

“Only a few years ago I shared a million-dollar winning syndicate with my friend.

“Now I’m a multi-millionaire. It’s unbelievable.

He revealed he will use his $2,727,272.73 prize to cut down on work and travel the world with his wife.

“I think we will start with a holiday to New Zealand. Then a cruise and who knows what else. Maybe we will fly business class. It will be incredible.”

The Nerang man purchased his winning entry at Ashmore News Extra.

Two winners still to be identified

NSW Lotteries officials are still searching for two Sydney division one winners from the weekend’s Saturday Lotto $30 million Megadraw.

One of the division one winning entries was purchased from Belmore Newsagency in Belmore.

The second multimillion-dollar winning entry was sold at Queens Square Newsagency in Sydney’s CBD.

NSW Lotteries spokesperson Lauren Cooney said anyone who purchased a Saturday Lotto Megadraw entry at either of the outlets should check their ticket today.

The Lott spokesman Matt Hart said he urged anyone who purchased an entry into Saturday night’s draw to check their ticket as soon as possible.

“If you discover you’re holding one of the division one winning tickets from the Saturday Lotto draw, please keep it in a safe place and phone 131 868 to start the process of claiming your Megadraw prize.”

North Melbourne mum wins big

A North Melbourne mum has arrived home from a long weekend in Cairns with more than just a summer glow, collecting a life-changing win of more than $2.7 million while she was on holidays.

Confirming her win this morning, the woman revealed she picked up the ticket while on holidays.

“That’s the best souvenir we will ever collect,” she said.

When asked how she planned to enjoy her multimillion-dollar win, the woman said there’d be a long list.

“We will definitely pay off our mortgage,” she said.

“We will buy a new car and upgrade the upcoming holidays we already have planned and then buy a few more.

“I’ll keep working but my husband might retire.”

Rockhampton dad plans for a white Christmas

From Central Queensland to the snow, a Rockhampton dad is dreaming of his family enjoying their first white Christmas next year after discovering he was one of the division one prize winners.

When a Golden Casket official made contact with the winner this morning, the shocked man confessed he was struggling to believe he was now a multi-millionaire.

“I only checked my ticket this morning,” he explained.

‘I saw I had a win but initially didn’t see how much and didn’t think that much of it. But then one of my family members checked it and saw I’d won division one.

“I can’t believe it’s real! Every now and then I just stop and think ‘no way!’.

While now a multi-millionaire, the family man in his 40s still plans to go back to work in the New Year.

“You’ve still got to do something with yourself otherwise you’ll go crazy,” he declared.

“I’m going to keep a level head with this. It will make a difference to lots of people, to my family.

“I’m going to enjoy the New Year, that’s for sure.

“There will be a trip overseas at some point. I’m thinking a white Christmas with the family next year.”

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his ticket online.

Gold Coast mum in disbelief

Two of the division one winners hail from the Gold Coast.

This morning a sleepless Ormeau mum contacted Golden Casket to confirm the news after checking her life-changing entry last night.

“I’d seen a news article saying there was a mystery winner from Ormeau and after being at the beach all day I checked my ticket late last night.

“I didn’t believe it at first of course and I got no sleep. I only play lottery games very rarely, I bought the ticket last minute when I went to the shops to get bread. I wasn’t expecting to win anything. I really can’t believe it. It is just insane.”

When asked how she planned to enjoy her $2.7 million win, the mum said it would set up her young family for the future.

“We’ve got a mortgage so we will definitely be paying that off to begin with,” she said.

“I’ve always dreamt of going to America, so that’s on the top of the list!

“Then after that we will just have to wait and see. There will be a lot less stress, that’s for sure. This has completely changed our lives.”

She purchased her ticket at Ormeau Village Newsagency.

The newsagency owner Manu Grewal said he couldn’t believe he sold a division one winning entry so soon after his outlet’s opening.

“We only opened our doors five months ago and then on Saturday night I saw that we’d done it … It’s such good news.

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4011 on Saturday 28 December 2019 were 39, 13, 19, 1, 37 and 31, while the supplementary numbers were 5 and 33.
