A pedestrian has been fatally struck by a car on a major road in Brisbane’s south overnight.

A pedestrian has been fatally struck by a car on Brisbane’s southside overnight.

Multiple paramedics attended the serious vehicle and pedestrian incident which occurred on Granard Rd in Rocklea about 6.30pm.

A man was treated for life-threatening injuries and taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

He has since been declared dead, according to the Queensland Ambulance Service.

The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating.

Emergency services were called to Granard Road near Beaudesert Road around 6.50pm, following reports of a man being struck by a 2014 Subaru WRX sedan.

The man was treated at the scene for critical injuries, however, he was later declared dead.

Investigations into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing, and anyone who may have information that may be able to assist is asked to come forward.
