Paramedics assessing two patients after serious two-boat collision on Sunshine Coast

Two patients are being treated by critical care paramedics after a serious two-boat collision in Sunshine Coast waters.

Two men have been injured in a serious two-boat collision at the Sunshine Coast on Saturday afternoon.
The men, believed to be in their 40s, were treated at the scene in the water off Parkyn Parade, Mooloolaba about 4.05pm.
One of the men was in a serious but stable condition after suffering significant leg injuries.
The other man was in a stable condition with a head injury but was eventually transported in a serious condition to Sunshine Coast University Hospital as his injuries worsened.

Water Police attended the collision and have launched a joint investigation with Maritime Safety Queensland.

MSQ works under the Department of Transport and Main Roads.

Anyone with information regarding the collision is urged to contact the police.
