OnlyFans model hacked following Schoolies scandal

An OnlyFans model says she’s had her social media accounts held for ransom, revealing she felt like a target following public outcry when she outlined plans to sleep with high school graduates during Schoolies.

OnlyFans creator Kay Manuel has revealed her emails and social media accounts were held for ransom following her involvement in last year’s Schoolies scandal wherein several adult content creators detailed their plans to sleep with barely legal high school graduates.

Ms Manuel claimed to have bedded 55 “barely legal” graduates on the first day of Schoolies before being thrown out of her Airbnb apartment.

Speaking to The Courier-Mail, Ms Manuel said a hacker took control of her private email account on December 11, threatening to leak her personal information including her address and passport details.

“I was sitting on my couch watching Netflix and got an email that the password for my Linktree changed. I thought ‘oh, that’s random,’ went onto the app and I was logged out,” she said.

“I thought it was an insolated incident. Half an hour passed and I got a billion email notifications. I’ve got everything linked to [that email address]. If you get access to that one email you can get access to everything.”

It was then a “race against the clock” to try to change the password to her recovery email, however she was unable to change it before the hacker logged into her account. This is when the hacker emailed her with demands.

“He was like ‘I’ve taken control of everything. You need to send $30,000 worth of bitcoin otherwise I’m going to post all your details’. We went back and forth for quite a few hours,” she said.

“I posted a story on my Instagram page that if my account goes down it’s not me. He sends me a message to delete the Instagram story.”

The Courier-Mail has sighted several emails sent from the hacker that cannot be uploaded due to privacy concerns.

Despite taking a screenshot of one of her bank accounts, the hacker told her to “get a loan, borrow money, suck d**k for money”.

“Interesting how are you on a Forbes list but you’re on your friends couch? I saw your crypto transactions, your bank transactions etc. Need a payment of $30,000 Crypto to proceed with what I offered you,” the hacker wrote in an email to Ms Manuel.

Ms Manuel said she ignored the demands made by the hacker and instead worked to regain access to her accounts by contacting her email provider’s support line and sending verifiable proof of her identity.

“I moved apartments because of it [the hack]. I was very much afraid for my safety,” she said.

“A lot of people know who I am because of Schoolies. The whole Schoolies thing broke me and I couldn’t leave my apartment for a good 48 hours.

“Adult industry creators are targeted the most. They seem to make all this money but people don’t understand the backend of it. There’s a stereotype that a lot [of adult industry creators] don’t want to do much. I’m trying to work as hard as I can.”
