She’s sold over 220 million records, holds the record for the most No. 1 singles by a solo artist, and now Mariah Carey is returning to Australia for the first time in 11 years.
The five-time Grammy winner will headline Fridayz Live 2025, launching the throwback festival in Brisbane this October before taking it across the country.
Carey, who last toured Down Under in 2014, will perform at the Brisbane Showgrounds on October 17.
Brisbane will be the first city in Australia to witness her long-awaited return to the stage.
Fans can expect all the hits — Fantasy, We Belong Together, Obsessed, and Always Be My Baby — with Carey also set to celebrate the 20th anniversary of her iconic 2005 album The Emancipation of Mimi.
The festival’s return comes after a one-year hiatus, during which organisers said they were “hitting pause” to ensure the next edition lived up to the hype.
Now, the 2025 line-up is already creating major buzz online, with fans calling it “the best festival line-up Australia has ever seen.”
Alongside Carey, Mr. Worldwide himself Pitbull will bring his Party After Dark tour to Australian audiences, along with rap icon Wiz Khalifa, Grammy-winner Lil Jon, trailblazer Eve, British hitmaker Tinie Tempah, and American Idol alum Jordin Sparks.
The nostalgic party tour will continue in Sydney on October 18 (Engie Stadium), Perth on October 24 (Langley Park), and Melbourne on October 25 (Marvel Stadium).
Presale tickets go live May 26, with general sale opening June 2 via fridayzlive.com.
Fans are being urged to sign up early.
