The Skye by Pikos development at Kangaroo Point is set to complete in the spring of this year with construction work now beyond the two-thirds mark of the building structure’s total height.
Pikos Group chief executive Michelle Wooldridge said Skye by Pikos was fast shaping up to be an iconic, landmark building set above the cliffs at Kangaroo Point, with breathtaking panoramic views overlooking the Brisbane River, City Botanic Gardens and CBD.
“We are thrilled to bring this extraordinary vision to life, creating a new pinnacle in Brisbane’s luxury living landscape,” she said.
“Skye is made up of three building towers and is destined to become a symbol of elegance with architecture embodying refined luxury. Lush plantings growing in precast planter boxes harmonise with the surrounding nature.
“Set to complete in spring 2025, Skye is one of Brisbane’s most exciting residential developments as the city prepares for the 2032 Olympics.”
The River Tce project is Pikos Group’s second Kangaroo Point development with Gaia also under construction.
There will be three buildings over 13 levels, each with its own lift and no more than 25 residences per building and a maximum of two per floor per building.
The concrete structure has now been poured to level 11 on tower three, level 10 on tower two and level nine on tower one.
The internal fit-out is underway, with services installed up to level five. On level one across all towers, internal wall construction has started, and on levels one, two and three, windows are being installed.
Externally, painting has started on balconies and landscaping concrete planter boxes are continuing to be installed with the concrete structure and are being filled with soil.
“Befitting its prestigious address at 8 River Tce, Skye’s 69 apartments will all be luxury residences with exquisite finishings such as Roman classic travertine in the kitchens and bathrooms and balconies, wide oak engineered flooring and a chef’s kitchen with world-leading V-Zug appliances from Switzerland,” Ms Wooldridge said.
“Every residence has expansive frontage with panoramic river and CBD views.”
Designed by architects Conrad Gargett, the residences will feature open-plan living, full-height windows, wide balconies, and main bedrooms boasting walk-in wardrobes and an ensuite. Every residence will also have at least two carparking spaces.
Ms Wooldridge said residents would enjoy resort-style living.
“Residents can use the Skyeline aquatic deck with its heated infinity pool all year round while enjoying panoramic views over the Brisbane River and city skyline,” she said.
“At Skye, the pool is situated in the best aspect available, the northernmost peak of the site, wrapping around 270 degrees allowing both sunrise and sunset to be enjoyed.”
Ms Wooldridge said the project was also crafted for comfort.
“Rather than maximising apartment numbers, Pikos limited the site and built three towers instead of just one to create natural breeze flows and allow better natural lighting, while ensuring the best possible privacy and greater exclusivity for residents with only two apartments per each floor,” she said.
“The finest materials are featured throughout Skye and reference nature with a soft palette of timber flooring underfoot, and extensive use of travertine in bathrooms, kitchens and outdoor areas.”
Roman classic travertine stone was hand-selected by Pikos founder and director Pedro Pikos, director Simon Cathcart and interior designer Julie Williamson in Tivoli, Italy, alongside travertine expert Mario Caucci.
