Riverfire flyovers rock Brisbane CBD

A C-17A Globemaster III flyover thrilled onlookers in Brisbane’s CBD this afternoon as it practiced for this weekend’s Riverfire. SEE THE VIDEO AND INCREDIBLE PICS

ADF practice flyovers started from noon this afternoon in preparation for Riverfire this weekend.

An RAAF C-17A Globemaster was the first aircraft to be seen flying across Brisbane.

The low-altitude C-17A flight took place just after 12 noon, while two Taipans and two Tiger helicopters will be in our skies from 2.30pm.

The aerial activity will precede the Sunsuper Riverfire event which begins at 6.45pm Saturday, ending three weeks of the Brisbane Festival 2021.
