A woman who allegedly trafficked methamphetamines and marijuana while working as a “health and wellness adviser” at a private health insurance company looks to learn her fate by Christmas.

Kylie Maree Hatfield, 41, was charged in October 2023 with 72 counts of supplying drugs – eight which allegedly took place while she was working at Medibank in Stockland Rockhampton.

An eight-charge indictment was presented in the Supreme Court in Rockhampton today.

The most serious charge was one count of trafficking drugs between July 31, 2022 and October 4, 2023.

The trafficking charge covers the previous supply offences, which is the normal practice once a matter is indicted.

The other seven on the indictment were: One of possessing more than two grams of a schedule one drug, three counts of possessing a dangerous drug, one of supplying a drug to a minor, one of possessing anything used in a crime and one of possessing anything for the use in a crime.

During an unsuccessful bail application in Rockhampton Magistrates Court, the court heard Ms Hatfield was on bail at the time of the alleged drug supplies after being charged with possessing more than two grams of a schedule one drug.

Nick Crawford advised the Supreme Court that Ms Hatfield was likely to plead guilty to the offences but requested an adjournment to finalise instruction.

Ms Hatfield’s matters were adjourned to September 24 with no pleas yet entered.

She was granted bail in the Brisbane Supreme Court bail in December.
