Pop megastar Katy Perry has been spotted soaking up one of Brisbane’s most beloved attractions in between her two sold-out concerts, visiting the popular tourist attraction Bluey’s World.
The Firework singer, 40, took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a series of photos from the visit, posing with life-sized versions of Bluey and Chilli and giving fans a rare glimpse of her four-year-old daughter Daisy Dove, who wore a glittery Bluey-themed dress for the occasion.
“AUS side quest tiddly bits weee” Perry captioned the post.
She also shared a photo of a note scrawled with the phrase “Coconuts have water in them”, a cheeky nod to the show’s fan-favourite character, Muffin.
The one-of-a-kind, theme park-style experience in Hamilton pays tribute to Queensland’s much-loved animated Heeler family and has quickly become a must-do for families visiting the River City.
In the same post, the American singer also shared an assortment of photos from her time spent in Melbourne, where she performed four concerts.
Perry first revealed her Blueys World visit during night one of her Lifetimes Tour at Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Tuesday, telling the crowd she made a beeline for Bluey’s World as soon as she landed. She even showed off a pair of novelty Bluey ears she picked up from the Hamilton-based exhibit.
“Today I went to Bluey’s house,” she told the crowd.
“You guys are the most magical people, to have the sense of humour to create something like Bluey. So wholesome, so right on the mark,” she said, praising the show’s charm. “We played Keepy Uppy for like an hour,” she added, referencing the fan-favourite balloon game from the series.
She later delighted the crowd by breaking into a rendition of the Bluey theme song live on stage.
It’s also understood the Roar hit maker paid a visit to Australia Zoo during her Queensland stay, making the most of her time in the Sunshine State before wrapping up her final Brisbane show on Wednesday night.
The ‘Roar’ singer is in Brisbane for two concerts at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, with her final concert held on Wednesday.
